Every good Christian’s favourite book series, the Left Behind books, are categorised by the Christchurch Public Libraries as “Science Fiction.” In a beautiful, beautiful outpouring of irony, they sit right beside the novels of everyone’s favourite religious loony, L. Ron Hubbard himself.

    I’m not sure how LaHaye got filed next to Hubbard… but God mocks in mysterious ways.

    there’s nothing wrong with the categorisation - Left Behind is about the future and is fiction. just as Mr Whittaker is just a figment of those schizophrenic kids’ imaginations
