“There is no light. The Sun sucks dark. In fact it sucks dark so hard that the friction of the dark moving to the Sun causes the Sun to be very hot. The flow of dark towards the Sun interrupted by the Earth causes the side of the Earth away from the Sun to accumulate dark, thus causing Night. As the Earth rotates the dark caught on the night side can then be pulled off, this causing the absence of dark known as Day.

What we call light bulbs are truly dark suckers as well. That is why light bulbs are hot, just like the Sun. When a light bulb is full of dark and won’t suck dark any more, it cools off. If you look in old light bulbs you can even seen the accumulation of dark.

Dark is also heavier than water. This can be seen in the oceans where the deeper you go the darker it gets.”

Religion and Dysfunction

In

“In general, higher rates of belief in and worship of a creator correlate with higher rates of homicide, juvenile and early adult mortality, STD infection rates, teen pregnancy, and abortion … None of the strongly secularized, pro-evolution democracies is experiencing high levels of measurable dysfunction.” Within the United States “the strongly theistic, anti-evolution South and Midwest” have “markedly worse homicide, mortality, STD, youth pregnancy, marital and related problems than the Northeast where … secularization, and acceptance of evolution approach European norms”.

Lunch and Confusion

In

So AJ and I are having lunch at the Hare Krishna place, ostensibly so AJ can find out about the gathering he’s been invited to on Saturday night.

We order, we grab a table. Our food and drinks arrive, and we eat and drink. (Great stuff, by the way. I recommend the Indian Falafel on Brown Rice.) Then, before we leave, AJ goes to find out the details of this Saturday thing. After waiting at the counter for a bit, someone finally arrives. AJ asks his question. The girl replies:

“Oh, you’ll want the Hare Krishna restaurant, across the road.”

AJ manages to stifle his question (“You mean, you’re not?”) and we go across the road to the correct place.

It turns out that the Lotus Heart cafe is not Hare Krishna; it’s all about Sri Chinmoy. Ah well, the food was good.
