Observations from the Hairdressers’
It’s a lot like church in that:
- There are a bunch of unwritten rules that you’re just expected to know.
- The atmosphere is really feminine.
- There are lots of elderly, but also a relatively high proportion of *mumbles* fine ladies.
Why are there so many old women? Is the hairdressers’ the “place to be” or something?
Either my haircut was cheaper than average, or hairdressers don’t make much money. By the time your employer has taken rent, power, etc., $22 for a three-quarter-hour haircut can’t leave much of a wage.
[Update, 12 hours later] GAH! I totally just won a haircut, which is only valid for Monday. Monday, three days after I JUST HAD A HAIRCUT!

they charge girls excessive amounts to cover the costs from guys. Girls are more willing to fork out to look pretty, but guys just don’t care enough. If it cost too much, most guys would probably just hack into it themselves with a pair of scissors at home (which, coincidentally, is what I do…).
I never noticed the unwritten rules at the hairdressers or the feminine atmosphere at Church?

HTML needs a <strongbad> tag for usage around phrases like “fine ladies”.
P.S. $22 buys one mean mullet — what is it now, gold plated?

Matt, matt, matt… clearly you have failed to notice what seems like an obvious observation to me: You paid $22 for 3/4 of an hour with fine hairdresser chicks? HELLO…
When does a woman ever get 45 minutes at the hairdresser (when she’s not getting a colour or perm)?!
45 minutes?!?! What sort of haircut were you getting?! Or am I right in assuming that maybe the fine hairdresser thought she was on to some fine hair…

Hehe - $22 is too expensive for my budget!
Anyone want to hack my hair?
