G.P. Taylor, Dracula’s Former Vicar

I found this interview, courtesy of Phil Baker’s Blog. (Phil Baker was one of the speakers at ‘chute this year.)

Anyway, the guy interviewed is a vicar who wrote a book which is currently sitting in 2nd place in the British book charts, behind Harry Potter and whichever Blah Blah Blah.

Choice quote, from the author, about the film deal:

“I’ve even been told that it’s going to rival Left Behind. I’m not sure what Left Behind is, but whatever Left Behind is, apparently we’re going to rival it.

It’s cool to see someone with their head screwed on getting into the whole magic/apocalypse/witchcraft/fantasy genres, and writing something that’s not preachy, but still shows God. (It’s a “secular book)

Thats a real interesting interview. theres also a good one with Charlie Peacock in the music section (interesting when they start discussing the contemporary music industry and the christian music world. He has a lot of really good points.

Also, have you had a chance to read the G.P. Taylor book? it sounds quite interesting from the interview (as you would expect i guess)

Nup, haven’t read the book–hadn’t even heard of it before I read the interview.

It’s nice to see some balanced, heads-screwed-on Christians in the public eye for a change eh?
