Here you are, KT:

Clearly, Facebook is another uber-capitalist experiment: can you make money out of friendship? Can you create communities free of national boundaries - and then sell Coca-Cola to them? Facebook is profoundly uncreative. It makes nothing at all. It simply mediates in relationships that were happening anyway.

We are seeing the commodification of human relationships, the extraction of capitalistic value from friendships.

Also, note the CIA connections: use Facebook and help the US to spy on you.

Does it make any difference that many people find it a very useful tool for keeping in touch, sharing photos etc? I mean sure, its a big, evil, centralized capitalist entity that collects information about me so it can show me the ads I'm most likely to respond to, extract huge amounts of money from corporations who want to place those ads, and make Mark Zuckerberg filthy rich. But if I'm getting a great service for free in exchange, should I care?
