With regards to the Pope's now-notorious speech on Islam
With regards to the Pope's now-notorious speech on Islam:
…the Pope wanted to underline the confluence of Greek philosophy and biblical faith. — The Pope & Islam
I find this particularly interesting, because increasingly I think that Greek philosophy and biblical faith should not be confluent (‘flowing together or merging'), beyond the fact that both are found in the bible. Greek dualism, for instance, is quite at odds with any solid theology of the incarnation, and with the doctrine of the redemption of all creation.
If I ever meet the Pope, we shall have to discuss this further.
